Google DRIVE (formerly Google docs)is a collection of web-based communications and productivity applications, Internet-based and free to users. You've heard about "cloud computing" and considered getting a Google account - now is your chance to learn what you can do for free using Google Drive.
This workshop will introduce you to the basics of Google Drive, an online word processing, spreadsheet and presentation platform that allows users to create and edit their work in real time and to increase sharing and collaboration.
Participants in this workshop will learn how to create and edit simple Google Drive documents, to share, privately and publicly, with other Google Drive users, and to import and export their existing desktop files to and from Google Drive for increased productivity and collaboration.
Workshop participants are required to have a Google account for the workshop, and should register for a free account at https://www.google.com/NewAccount
Please bring your Google account username and password to the workshop. Participants are required, to bring a charged laptop to the workshop
Nonprofit Rate: $20 per person (includes light breakfast)
Market rate (applies to for-profit agencies): $200 per person (includes light breakfast)
This workshop has a CANCELLATION FEE OF $50. This means if you do not attend or send a substitute, your organization will be billed the $50 cancellation fee. The deadline to cancel without penalty is September 11, 2013.
Important Notice about Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
No Continuing Education Units (CEU) or Registered Clock Hours (RCH) will be granted for this workshop.
Upon completion, all program attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
